KW Monorex - (H.Kolberg i S-ka In Warsaw)
"KW" – Built-in Camera (Kamera Wbudowana)
In 1932, polish company from Warsaw - H.Kolberg i S-ka - in cooperation with the French Societe des Etablissements Krauss from Paris produced aerial photography camera marked KW Monorex. KW symbol came from an acronym: kamera wbudowana (built-in camera), which means - a camera embedded permanently in the skin of the aircraft.
Devices of this type were installed onboard PZL 23 "Karaś" and could be fitted inside PZL P-37 "Łoś". In 1932, 50 pieces of KW camera were assembled, and in the following year another batch of 24.
